M. Dias Branco was among the winners of the Transparency Trophy 2017. Now in its 21st edition, the award program is organized by the National Association of Finance, Business Management and Accounting Executives (ANEFAC) to recognize companies with the most transparent financial statements in Brazil.

In all, 25 companies received awards in two net revenue brackets- above and below R$ 5 billion. Only 10 companies received the award in the R$ 5 billion plus revenue bracket, among them M. Dias Branco.

Candidates are not required to register for the Transparency Trophy, known in Brazil as the “Accounting Oscar”. Selected winners are companies demonstrating best accounting practices in an effort to provide the market with an objective set of financial disclosures.

Created in 1997, the ANEFAC-FIPECAFI-SERASA EXPERIAN awards encourage corporate transparency in the market. With technical reviews performed by the Institute of Accounting, Actuarial and Financial Research (FIPECAFI) and with support from Serasa Experian, the judging panel uses stringent criteria to assesses transparency in companies’ financial-statement disclosures.

The company was represented at the Transparency Trophy Ceremony by Vice President, Investments and Controllership Geraldo Luciano, New Business and Investor Relations Director Fabio Cefaly, Controllership Director Vera Ponte, and Corporate Accounting Manager Magali Carvalho.

M. Dias Branco was also awarded in the Pasta and Flour category of the 14th Best in Agribusiness Awards for its financial results and sustainability initiatives. Manufacturing Vice-President for Mills Cláudio Dias Branco was presented with the award by Globo Rural Magazine in partnership with Serasa Experian.
