INVESTMENTS IN A NEW INDUSTRIAL PLANT
M. Dias Branco S.A. Indústria e Comércio de Alimentos (“M. DIAS” or “Company”), a publicly-held company headquartered at Rodovia BR 116 – Km 18, CEP 61760-000, in the city of Eusébio, state of Ceará, hereby informs the market that signed, on this date, an intentions protocol with the Government of the State of Minas Gerais, to make investments on the construction, in the referred state, a new industrial plant, with a total planned investment of R$ 305.6 (three hundred and five point six million reais), to be completed within 5 (five) years.
Initial studies showed that the plant should be located in the city of Juiz de Fora/MG, in an area near the BR-040 Highway with easy access to various regions of the state of Minas Gerais, as well as to other states in the Southeast and Midwest regions of Brazil. The project foresees that the new plant should start with the pasta and cookies and crackers production.
The aforementioned investment is included in the Company‘s strategy of continuous improvement of its production logistics in Brazil, in order to keep corresponding the growing demand for the products it produces, especially in the Southeast and Midwest regions of the country, increasingly approaching most of their consumer markets.
